The JFS PTA is an organization of volunteers comprised of parents, teachers and citizens who care about our children. The goals of OUR PTA are basically twofold. One goal is to ensure our children get an outstanding education and the other goal is to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which to learn and play.

Jimmy's Birthday Carnival 2012

Our Carnival is on Friday, May 18th, from 4:00 to 7:00! We hope you can come out and join in the fun! The walk-a-thon will be that same day but during the school hours so there will be no registration, just come and have a blast. Get your tickets ahead of time to avoid the lines at the carnival. All your favorite food, games and prizes will be there!

JFS Shines at Odyssey of the Mind Regional Tournament

On March 3rd, five teams from JFS participated in the Silicon Valley Regional tournament of "Odyssey of the Mind", a creative problem-solving program the JFS PTA supports. All our teams did very well and we are extremely proud that one of our teams stood first in its division. This team is heading to State championships to be held on March 31st in Brentwood, California.

First place in Division 1 - OOH - MOTIONAL VEHICLE:

CONGRATULATIONS! JFS MAKES IT TO WORLD FINALS OF
ODYSSEY OF THE MIND
It is with great pride and joy that we announce the news that the JFS team that participated at the State competition of the Odyssey of the Mind at Brentwood on March 31st, won in its division and will be representing California at the World competition to be held in Iowa, at the end of May, 2012 !

Kudos to the team and to the coaches who have worked so hard make this happen. We wish them all the very best!!

This is our second year doing Odyssey of the Mind at JFS and our first time to have a team win first place at Regional level and then win at State level to move to the World Finals!

Reflections

This year for Reflections, a nation-wide PTA sponsored competition, many students from JFS participated. This year's Reflections topic was "Diversity means....".

Under the Tuscan Moon 2012 a Smashing Success

Our annual benefit dinner/auction that was held on February 10th at the beautiful Ranch Golf Club went on without a hitch. Everyone had a great time and many found great deals on the wide array of wonderful auction items. We had over $27K in sales and that should translate to about the same in profits. Thanks to all the fabulous volunteers and attendees that make this event possible.
